Interfacing Your Ophthalmic
Equipment and
Practice Management Software

KeyMedical will interface your existing practice management system with KeyChart® using HL7 data exchange standards. This allows for single entry of patient information, appointment schedules, as well as billing information.

Just as important is the interface to your ophthalmic medical equipment (i.e., autorefractor, lensometer, visual field, HRT, OCT, IOL Master, etc.). KeyMedical will make every effort to interface your equipment. Each piece may require a unique connector or software interface. However we understand the importance to eliminate the possibility for transcription mistakes and the ability to view digital photos from your computer.

Flexibility for Physicians

Each physician can continue to do exams as he/she has always done. KeyChart® has enough flexibility to improve the way physicians document, but not too much that they feel as though they are having to program the system before it is ever used.

To have access to your patient's charts at any hour of the day is priceless to the patient! Whether you are at a remote satellite office, home, the hospital or on vacation, you can use the Internet to go through your virtual private network (VPN) to access patient charts.
